New York has been my home for the past 9 years. Oddly enough, I rarely photograph this city.

During the pandemic there had been a void, at the time I don’t think I realized how large, left by not having a creative outlet. I tended to direct all my attention to the fact that I was out of work for close to 10 months or how society had essentially collapsed… so not shooting had 2 impacts.

I found myself picking up my small Fuji x100t more and more, truly subconsciously, to apparently try to fill a small part of the hole left by not image making. I brought it on trips, I brought it to friends, I drove out to the beach with it. On my way over to a friends apartment one night, it came with me for the stroll across 23rd street. These were all taken along that walk.
